Why are your prices sometimes way below cost?
   

We specialize in providing a quality hosting package. Most providers will charge you the same amount for less space and less features. You will have enough storage space for your future needs. You will be able to use any website design software to upload your work to the servers.

As far as pricing goes, we are always very competitive. We try to make our packages as low cost as possible to invite more customers to enjoy what they can get and do with our hosting package! Our prices are better than competitive simply to increase our exposure.

Do we place any kind of advertisements on your web site?
   

No. Your web site is ad-free! Our prices are lower than most to increase exposure, not to place a flashy ad that takes away from your site. Word of mouth goes a long way.

How well is your quality and support?
   

We know that there are people that may be new to being hosted and price isn't everything, that is why we provide online help documentation. You should read all documentation and if you still have problems after reading Facts for Support and your CP Documentation, we will work hard to correct them. Can I use my account for commercial purposes?
   

Yes, you can use your account for commercial purposes. The World Wide Web has become the most efficient and cost-effective means of making information available to the users of the Internet community and we encourage our customers to utilize such an enormous medium.

Can I subdivide my space and resell it?
   

No, this is called reselling. We don't have reselling plans. However, you are allowed to use subdomains (http://aname.yourdomain.com).

Can I access my domain address with or without the "www"?
   

Yes, you will be able to access the domain address with or without the "www" in front of the domain name. Example: [http://www.your-name.com] or [http://your-name.com] is acceptable, whichever you prefer.

Do you handle the domain registration process?
   

No, not at this time. However, we are considering it.

When I register a domain name who will have ownership of it?
   

When you register a domain name with a registrar, YOU will have full ownership of your domain name. This means that you can move your domain name somewhere else or modify it however you want. You have full control over that. If you use our Domain Service, the domain still belongs to you.

Why do I see "Index of /myusername" when I type in my domain name?
   

The reason you see "Index of /yourusername" is because the server is already setup and ready for you to publish your website. If you do not have your homepage named "index.html" after you uploaded your site, you will see "Index of /yourusername". You must name your homepage "index.html" to see your website up. Some servers use "default.htm" or "home.htm", but that will not work on our server. If you have an index.htm, rename it to index.html. Just publish your index.html and it will replace what you initially got on your screen.

Can I transfer an existing domain to your servers?
   

Yes, just be sure to specify that you are requesting a transfer and NOT a new domain on your order. You should keep the service with your current provider while waiting for your new registrar to complete the transfer process.

If you registered your domain name with a registrar other than Network Solutions the process is a little bit different. You will need to contact that registrar.

How long does it take before my domain name is active?
   

Once your domain name has been registered (or transferred, if applicable), it usually takes about 48-72 hours before it is active. All Internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect the new site's location.

What is a Virtual Domain?
   

A Virtual Domain means having your own domain name (http://www.your-name.com) hosted on a company's servers. Servers and the software are very expensive. They need exceptional connectivity as they are always running. With a Virtual Domain, you utilize our server's without that kind of expense. You are still professionally represented via your own personal Internet web address domain name (www.your-name.com) and by your own personal e-mail address domain name (you@your-name.com).

You should check Networksolutions "WHOIS" service to make sure that your desired domain name is available. ALSO,  to search for and buy a domain name for less money ($8.95 per year), go to www.godaddy.com.

Do you offer dial-up Internet access?
   

No, you will need local Internet access in order to maintain your web site and retrieve email addressed to your site.

How do I transfer files to my web site?
   

Files must be transferred to the web server via File Transport Protocol (FTP) or your account's web-based Control Panel. If you need FTP, mail, or other Internet software, visit ZDNet Software Library. ZDNet Software Library is a source for the latest Internet applications with ratings and reviews to help you decide which application is best suited for your needs. We also provide a web-based Control Panel to make it even easier for you to upload your files.

If you use FrontPage, just click FILE, Publish Web.

How would I create pop e-mails?
   

You will create these accounts through a web-based administration area that allows you to create, delete and modify your own mail settings. This includes Pop3 e-mail, e-mail forwarding, e-mail aliasing, autoresponders, and mailing list. The process of creating an e-mail account is very simple. You would simply click "Create Pop Account" and then enter your username and password.

I uploaded my new webpage, but I still see the old one, what is wrong?
   

If you have just uploaded a new website, or a new file to one of your folders, and then you go to your website through your website, you may still see your old webpage, as your browser will be pulling information from your Temporary Internet Folder / Cache. To resolve this problem, empty your Temporary Internet Folder and go to your webpage and click the "refresh" button on your browser. This is applicable to Internet Explorer (IE) only. Users on Netscape should not have this problem.

Will I have unlimited access to update my pages?
   

You have unlimited access via FrontPage Publish or FTP 24-hours a day. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your web site at your leisure.

How long does it take to set up a new account?
   

New accounts are setup in 48 hours or less from the time we receive your order. Once an account is set up an activation notice will be sent to you via email including your username, password. You can begin uploading files to your new web site immediately.

How is billing handled?
   

Billing is handled on a yearly subscription. You may pay by credit card or check through a secure server. Our Merchant is PayPal. When your time for renewal comes, you will automatically be notified. You do not have to belong to PayPal to pay for our services, however, you should consider becoming a member yourself as PayPal offers outstanding features that would benefit you in many ways.

You can also send us a check for your subscription by US Mail. Remember that it takes 14 days for your check to clear before we setup your domain in another 2 days.

Can I upgrade my account if I need to?
   

Yes. You can upgrade your account at anytime. You will just pay the difference between your current account and your new account. There are no extra fees involved in upgrading unless otherwise stated.

Is there a trial period or refunds?
   

Yes. We offer a 30 day trial period, after this time it is not possible to receive a refund for your account. Yearly clients can be refunded the difference for the remainder of there year (If plausible). Set up fees are nonrefundable, Credit Card charge backs will not imply due to client agreement:

Yes. Use your control panel to do it yourself. There are no yearly fees for subdomains.

Yes, for a one time $30.00 setup fee (no monthly fee) we can point a second domain name to your main web page. This is a great way to expand the marketing of your site.

How many FTP Accounts for your hosting plans?
   

Your domain.com (your website) can have numerous ftp accounts for free. Each ftp account you setup in your control panel will have it's own login. Remember to post this login in your ftp accounts with an ftp service. EayOK is not an ftp service. WS_FTP and CuteFTP are.

Yes, we support Mac FTP programs. All information on how to set up your FTP program to upload files to our servers is available in the control panel once you have an account with us.

How do I get a domain name?
   

Through a registrar. Go to WHOIS | VeriSign to see if the name you want is available. You may also purchase the name through them or any other registrar.

How can I change my accounts domain name if it was already taken by another owner?
   

The first thing to remember is that you must register a domain name. It takes up to 48 hours before it is displayed throughout the web. Check this after the first 12 hours by going to WHOIS | VeriSign or until your domain is displayed. Whois will have all the DNS info on it.

If you order an account, and the domain name you signed up with has been either registered by someone else or needs to be changed due to any reason, we will have to delete that account from our servers and setup a new account. You will be charged another setup fee as this involves our time. To be safe from another setup fee, make sure that the domain is yours first.

Why can't I publish with FrontPage?
    Make sure your account meets the following guidelines:
bullet Your domain's DNS is pointing towards our server.
bullet You are publishing to http://www.yourdomain.com
bullet You have requested that your FrontPage extensions be installed.
bullet You are using another username rather than your given username.
Please note, you will use the same Login for FTP, Frontpage or other editor, cPanel access and your main email account.

Do you support PHP-Nuke?
   

Currently we do not allow PHP-Nuke on our system. This program is not yet bug-free, and it sometimes causes problems with the MySQL system. As soon as we are sure that PHP-Nuke is a very stable program that does not bog down server resources, we will allow this program to be used on our servers.

Do you offer Telnet or SSH access?
   

Currently we do not allow Telnet or SSH access on our servers. It causes the vulnerability of hacks as well as script based utilities for misuse.

Can I switch my main domain.com for my account?
   

Yes you can switch yourdomain.com for newdomain.com, but this requires us to re create your account under the newdomain.com which is a new setup charge a $50 to re-setup for this process which takes time and our employees must get paid. Your yearly subscription is already paid by you, so, you would not have to pay for another subscription.

37.

What if I exceed my limit or want more bandwidth?
   

Most subscribers won't have to worry about this as we offer generous bandwidth. When you go over your bandwidth limit you receive a notice letting you know you have gone over. We charge $5 per extra 3 Gigabyte of bandwidth. We do not limit the amount you can have, although we do charge for the extra or excessive bandwidth usages. If you upload several times and get 3000 hits per week, you will not go over your 5 GB's of bandwidth limit. However, if you use bulletin board,  postings or chat rooms on your site and it is popular, that will add to the bandwidth usage.

Can children use web space hosted by you?
   

No. You must be at least 18 years old. This restriction is implemented because children may be exposed to unwanted targets. Parents can supervise their underage children but we can not.
